Cat Nap is designed to respect your privacy. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.
Information we do not collect
Cat Nap has no user accounts and no login. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any identifying information, and we do not send your data to our servers or any third party.
Microphone
If you choose to record your cat, Cat Nap uses your device’s microphone solely to capture that audio. Recordings are analyzed and stored only on your device. They are never uploaded or shared. You can grant or revoke microphone access at any time in Settings > Cat Nap > Microphone.
Photos
If you choose a custom button image, the selected photo is stored only on your device and is never uploaded or shared.
Audio processing
The analysis that turns a purr recording into custom haptics happens entirely on your device. No audio leaves your iPhone.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is managed by Apple’s StoreKit. For details, see Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Data retention and deletion
Because your content is stored only on your device, you remain in control of it. You can remove your recorded cat, custom name, and custom image within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device.
Children’s privacy
Cat Nap does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this URL.
